Lexus Driver Does Divider Dash
Phnom Penh: A man, who witnesses described as looking very drunk, drove at high speed and crashed into a concrete divider. After refusing to stop the car, he was chased after and brought to a halt.
The accident happened at 12:30 AM on July 22, 2022, along the corner of Monivong Street and Street 360 in Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang I, Khan Boeung Keng Kang, Phnom Penh.
Sources at the scene said that prior to the incident, a man apparently drunk was seen driving a black Lexus LX570 with license plate Phnom Penh 2AD-3333 along Monivong Blvd. in a south-to-north direction. When he arrived at the scene, he swerved and hit the concrete and then drove off in a mangled vehicle until he reached the traffic light of the 42-story building. After being stopped, the driver immediately opened the door and ran into another car to escape the scene.
Policew then hoisted the vehicle away and stored it at the Phnom Penh Municipal Police Traffic Office, waiting for a solution. NKD
