UPDATE: Filipinos Dead & Seriously Injured In Stabbing Incident

Phnom Penh: According to initial reports, at 8:20 am on September 10, a family fight led to two deaths and one serious injury.

UPDATE: According to local authorities, the two victims were identified as Jerry l Cervancz Jr., a 41-year-old Filipino man who worked as a marketer, and his wife Grace Yabes Suyat, a female. 43-year-old Filipino, marketing worker (deceased), the couple stayed at the address.

The suspect was named as YABES FERMIN JR SUYAT, a 59-year-old Filipino man living in the condo above the apartment owner (arrested and taken to Khema Hospital), was the brother of the victim, Grace Yabes Suyat.

Police said that before the incident, the woman and her brother had an argument and the suspect stabbed the victim named Grace Yabes Suyat. Her husband, came to help and fought, and then the suspect stabbed him several times..

The suspect then ran out and jumped off the balcony and was seriously injured. He was handcuffed and taken to Khema Hospital, Street 294, Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang I, Khan Boeung Keng Kang.

The incident occurred at house No. 25, Street 103, Sangkat Boeung Trabek Khan Chamkarmon.

After the incident, the local police rushed to the scene to investigate and sent the injured to the hospital (EDIT: later reported to have died, unconfirmed).

*Note, it is still not clear exactly what happened, as the investigation is still ongoing.
