UPDATE: 87 Chinese Arrested In Illegal Club Raid

 

Phnom Penh: A police operation took place on July 19, 2021 in a condominium on Street 222, corner 55, Sangkat Boeung Reang, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.

A karaoke bar in the condominium was raided by the Phnom Penh Municipal Police and men and women were arrested- many were Chinese nationals (early reports say almost 100 people in total).

Authorities raided and cracked down on the karaoke bar under the direct order of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police. At the same time, the police arrested about 100 men and women, who were put onto buses and sent Phnom Penh Police Station. All men and women are being questioned by the authorities and will be dealt with according to the procedures. UPDATE: It seems to be the site of a former club ‘X2 Entertainment Club’, being remade into a condo. The Special Intervention Force of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police (SDU) and with the participation of the Bureau of Minor Offenses and the Immigration Bureau Actual crackdown at the scene, which is a building under repair, 12 stories high, and on the 6th floor of the building (were) secret places open as club rooms and for people to use drugs. On the 6th floor, the police found 3 large rooms organized as a club and many Chinese men and women inside.

A total of 87 Chinese men and women, including 34 women, were detained, along with a small amount of drugs, many cars, as well as many other exhibits. KOHSANTEPHEAP

  1. Oh these Chinese ! They give their Homecountry a real bad reputation. Best to send them to Urumchi for re-education and some factory work.
