Deaths Reported In Daun Penh Fire
Phnom Penh: (Preliminary information) At 4:00 AM on June 29, 2021, a fire broke out in a house along Street 200 in Sangkat Boeung Reang, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.
Firefighters and rescue forces dispatched fire trucks to the scene. At least 4 people are reported to have died inside the house. Updates to follow.
UPDATE: The owner of the house has now been named as Hok Pich Hoeun, a 42-year-old man.
The four people who died were: 1: Sambath Panha, 18 years old, 2: Phon Davy, 19 years old, 3: Phon David, 18 years old and 4: 18-year-old Lee- they are all workers staying in the building.
The cause of the fire is believed to be from an electrical fault.
UPDATE: The four dead have not yet been identified, while Moch Seiha, a 24-year-old male fire officer suffered minor injuries.
