Kampot does not have such a hard lockdown as Sihanoukville but all shops i visit have alcohol spray, temp. measurement device and QR Code Covid Scan in place. The problem here is that while most khmer in town wear masks almost all of the white foreigners simply don’t care and go maskless. Some Restaurants and Cafe’s in Town act like there is no risk here at all and behave like in the “OLD NORMAL” because they simply have not yet understood how big the Infection Risk actually is. Until a short while ago several Bus Companies here serviced the Route to Phnom Penh several times a day. Add minivan’s and taxi’s to that and you can figure how many people a day travelled between the two cities. It’s a miracle that Kampot so far avoided the same fait like Takeo for example where Infections now approach 100 whereas kampot reports only 6. It is certain that this will change, any time soon.
Not the Kampot I was just in lol
