COVID Cases Rise With 291 Detected

 

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Health issued the daily press release on the morning of 17 April 2021, confirming the discovery of 291 new cases of COVID-19. 23 cases were treated and the patients discharged.

Of the new cases, 290 were linked to what is still known as the Feb. 20 community outbreak, and 1 was imported. This brings the total from the local outbreak to around 5227 (sources vary slightly).

Case numbers were: Phnom Penh: 228 Sihanoukville: 26 Kandal Province: 14 Takeo province: 12 Svay Rieng province: 8 Prey Veng province: 2

The total case number now stands at around 5771 (sources vary) and 3311 active cases. A total of 39 deaths have been reported.
