UPDATE: Man Shot Dead Off Russian Blvd

Phnom Penh: According to preliminary news reports, there was a shooting that caused the death of a man at 9:30 pm on April 6, 2021under the flyover of Phsar Dey Bridge. Huy in Sangkat Teuk Thla, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.

The cause is not yet clear.

UPDATE: This incident occurred at 8:50 pm on April 6, 2021 in front of ABA Bank under Phsar Dei Huy flyover in Chong Thnal Khang Lech village, Sangkat Teuk Thla, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.

According to information from Mr. Mov Manit, Governor of Sen Sok District, the shooter was a police officer guarding the ABA Bank at the scene, who fired two shots at the victim. Another was fired, the bullet hit, and the man died immediately at the scene.

Video footage clearly shows the dead man holding a knife and trying to attack the shooter. After the incident, the guard stayed at the scene until police arrived, and was taken to the Sen Sok Inspectorate for further questioning.
