Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Health issued the daily press release on the morning of 15 March 2021, confirming the discovery of 20 new cases of COVID-19. 83 cases were treated and the patients discharged.
Of the new cases,18 were linked to Feb. 20 community event and 2 were imported from abroad. This brings the total from the local outbreak to around 810 (sources vary).
The latest cases were 17 Cambodians and one Vietnamese, found in Phnom Penh. The others were a Cambodian worker returning from Thailand and a Cambodian national traveling from Singapore.
For the 83 treated, were 11 passengers from overseas and 72 infected in the February 20 event.
As of March 14, 2021, a total of 1,325 cases have been discovered, of which 730 have been treated with 592 active cases. There has been 1 confirmed death from COVID. 1 death from a drug overdose in hospital and another from heart disease during treatment.
