24 New COVID Cases Pushes Tally Over 1,000

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Health issued the daily press release on the morning of 8 March 2021, confirming the discovery of 24 new cases of COVID-19. 7 cases were treated and patients discharged.

The new cases, all linked to the February 20 Event include 12 Chinese, 7 Cambodians and 5 Vietnamese. Infections were found in Phnom Penh (12), Kandal (3), Kampong Cham (1), Kampong Thom (1) and Sihanoukville (7).

.3 Chinese and 4 Cambodians involved in the February 20 Event were released from the hospital after negative tests.

1,011 cases have now discovered, of which 517 have been treated with 493 are being treated. Around 500 cases have been linked to the local outbreak.
