Exploding Boat Injures 3 In Chroy Changva

 

Phnom Penh: A boat burst into flames near the riverbank, injuring a couple and their 10-year-old son, after the three were testing their new purchase.

The incident occured at about 2:20 pm on March 6, 2021 in Chroy Changva, near Sokha Hotel, Khan Chroy Changva, Phnom Penh.

The victims were not immediately identified, but reported to be a couple and their 10-year-old son- who were rushed to hospital.

According to the report, before the incident, the victims were seen with a white Ford car with state license plates, towing a large trailer with the boat- which was dropped into the water, after apparently it had had just been purchased.

According to the information, while the couple and their child were already on board, the engine suddenly exploded and burst into flames.

People near the scene took fire hoses to put out the blaze and two fire trucks went to intervene. 

The husband was taken to Calmette Hospital, while the wife and child were taken to Kantha Bopha Hospital. POST NEWS
