A Chinese patient diagnosed with new coronary pneumonia died while receiving treatment at the Phnom Penh City Isolation Center.
The deceased was 34 years old, from Fujian, China, and was nicknamed “Binbin”. On the morning of the 4th, he was found dead in a hospital bed.
Ms. Tang, an ex-girlfriend of the deceased who is also being treated for Covid-19 at the same isolation center, told a reporter from The Cambodia China Times that the deceased man had been hospitalized for 8 days and died on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
Binbin’s ex girlfriend Ms. Tang sent a screenshot of their chat conversation. They were reportedly chatting every day through WeChat while Binbin was being treated for his sickness.
“He told me the other day that he had lost his appetite and he had a fever and was feeling dizzy. He took medicine to reduce his fever before going to bed last night [on Wednesday]. Today I was informed that he had died”, she said.
Another patient in the same isolation center said that he heard that Binbin left around 5 or 6 this morning.
The Ministry of Health is currently investigating the death and has confirmed that a Chinese Covid-19 patient died in the isolation center.
Reporters working for The Cambodia China Times contacted a spokesperson of the Ministry of Health for a comment but did not receive a response.

Yeah, right…
Why don’t these ‘competent’ Cambodians say: he died because “his heart stopped beating”.
Which, of course, is always right…
