Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Health issued the daily press release on the morning of 4 March 2021, confirming the discovery of 31 new cases of COVID-19.
28 cases (with 17 Chinese, 10 Cambodians and 1 Vietnamese) are linked to the “February 20 Community Event”, the others are on passengers from abroad. 18 of the new cases were found in Sihanoukville (13 Chinese, 4 Cambodians, 1 Vietnamese) and 10 were in Phnom Penh (5 Chinese, 5 Cambodians). The number of cases related to the local outbreak has now reached over 400 (believed to be 402).
The other cases were all Indonesians traveling from Indonesia to Cambodia on March 2, 2021.
As of March 4, Cambodia has a total of 909 cases have been discovered, 484 have been treated and there are 425 active cases. 508,976 tests have been conducted.
An 11-year-old Cambodian boy from Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh, and a 30-year-old Chinese man living in Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh were discharged from hospital.
