UPDATE: More Schools Closed Due To COVID

UPDATE: The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has decided to temporarily suspend classes at Russey Chroy Secondary School, Hun Sen Russey Chroy Primary School, Saang District, Russey Srok Secondary School, Kien Svay District, Kandal Province, Kolap 1 Primary School and American Intercontinental School’s Chak Angre Branch, according to an announcement made on the morning of February 22.

The Ministry of Education stated that the schools will be closed until further notice.

The Ministry requires these educational institutions to continue the process of teaching and learning electronically. Education staff, parents, guardians and students related to the above institutions, please continue to monitor personal health and in case of doubt, please contact the health service.

Please be informed that after the outbreak of Kovid 19 disease in this community, the Ministry of Education has decided to suspend 7 public and private schools: Phnom Penh Thmey High School, SIS School, Phsar Doeum Kor Branch, Russey Chroy Secondary School, Hun Sen Russey Chroy Primary School, Saang District, Russey Secondary School. Kien Svay District, Kandal Province, Kolap I Primary School and American Intercontinental School.

Phnom Penh: Sources say that two schools have been closed in the capital in relation to the ‘February 20 Community Event’ outbreak of COVID-19.

Singapore International School (SIS) ‘Lucky Star’ branch has closed- the other branch remains open.

According to a letter from MoEYS, Phnom Penh Thmey High School has also been ordered to stop classes.
