Chinese, Swiss & Indonesians Latest COVID Cases

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Health issued the daily press release on the morning of February 18 confirming Cambodian health authorities had discovered 4 new imported cases of COVID 19 on Wednesday. No patients were discharged.

The new confirmed cases were from China, Switzerland and Indonesia:

A 31-year-old Chinese woman, transiting from China (*last time a Chinese national was reported as coming from China, it was actually from Dubai) via South Korea, arrived in Cambodia on February 7. The second test result was positive, and she is currently receiving treatment at the National Tuberculosis Center.

A 62-year-old Swiss male, transiting from Switzerland via Singapore, arrived in Cambodia on February 4. The secondtest result was positive, and he is currently receiving treatment at the Cambodia-Soviet Friendship Hospital.

An 18-year-old Indonesian male and an 18-year-old Indonesian female transferred from Indonesia via Singapore and arrived in Cambodia on February 16. The test result was positive, and they are currently receiving treatment at the National Tuberculosis Center. Test results of 126 passengers on the same plane were negative.

As of the morning of February 18, Cambodia has discovered 483 cases, treated 470 cases, with 13 currently in hospital.
