Homeless Japanese Man Sent To Embassy

Phnom Penh: On the morning of February 16, 2021, a Japanese man, who was reported by the media as sleeping in a public park, has now been found and prepared by the authorities, who will send him to the Embassy of Japan.

According to the official Facebook of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police Commissioner, after reading the media posts, police were sent to search for the Japanese man, a 41-year-old named Gen Kubuta, and found him at 11:00 on the morning of February 15, 2021, at the park in front of Wat Botum in Daun Penh district.

After that, the Phnom Penh Municipal Police took him for a Covid-19 test at the National Public Health Laboratory in Phnom Penh, and the result was negative.

Apparently, the Japanese man entered the Kingdom of Cambodia on March 18, 2020 through the Phnom Penh International Airport, lost his passport and his visa expired visa and he lacked funds to return to Japan.

After the interrogation and medical examination, at 8:30 am on February 16, 2021, the police sent the man to the Japanese Embassy. NKD
