CINTRI Truck Kills Man Inside Warehouse

 

Phnom Penh: At 8:00 am on February 4, 2021, a Cintri garbage truck crashed into a warehouse, killing one person. The incident occurred along 217 Sangkat Dangkor, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh.

The dead man has been identified as Keo Vuthy. No more details are yet known- although it appears through preliminary photos of the scene that the deceased operated some sort of mobile repair workshop.

Police are currently at the scene investigating the circumstances and an update is expected later. POST NEWS

UPDATE:

The victim was named Keo Vuthy, a 50-year-old male. The injured person is named Ponleu, male, 22 years old, born in Reang Dek village, Koki Thom commune, Kien Svay district, Kandal province.

Witnesses said that before the incident, they saw a Cintri garbage truck with yellow ID 85 traveling along Route 217 in the direction from north to south, while arriving at the scene, he turned the steering wheel to and hit a motorcycle repair tuk tuk on the sidewalk, pushed it into the warehouse, killing the one man immediately and seriously injuring another.

Sources said that after the incident, the driver of the truck fled, leaving the vehicle at the scene. KPT
