Two New COVID Cases, Three Leave Hospitals

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Health issued the daily press release on the morning of January 26, 2021, confirming the discovery of two new cases of COVID-19, while three patients were released from hospital. .

1: A 24-year-old Indonesian man with a residence in Sihanoukville, flew from Indonesia via Singapore to Cambodia on January 12, 2021. The results came after the second test of the man.

2: A 23-year-old Cambodian woman from Poipet City, Banteay Meanchey Province, arrived in Cambodia from Thailand on January 12, 2021. The result came from the the third test. She is currently being treated at Banteay Meanchey Provincial Referral Hospital.

Three discharged patients were:

1. A 17-year-old Cambodian woman from Poipet city, Banteay Meanchey province, a passenger from the United States via Singapore to Cambodia on January 12, 2021. She was released from National Center for Tuberculosis and Hepatitis.

2. A 34-year-old Indonesian man with a residence in Siem Reap who flew from Indonesia via Singapore to Cambodia on January 12, 2021. He was released from National Center for Tuberculosis and Hepatitis. 

3. A 21-year-old Cambodian woman, from Peam Chor District, Prey Veng Province, who traveled from Thailand to Cambodia on January 10, 2021. The woman was discharged from Banteay Meanchey Provincial Referral Hospital.

Cambodia has now recorded a total of 460 infections, of which 412 have been treated and 48 patients remain in hospital.
