Fatal Stabbing At Kampong Speu Wedding

Kampong Speu Province: Five people were injured and another died while fighting at a wedding. The violence broke out at around 10.45 on the night of January 24 at a wedding ceremony in Thlok Yol village, Ang Por Peul commune, Kong Pisey district, Kampong Speu province.

Chuon Norach (bride’s side) a male, 30 years old suffered intestinal perforation and died on arrival at Calmete Hospital Phnom Penh. Sam Piseth, alias Pang, male, 29 years old was slightly injured, as was Mach Vannak, alias Chhok, male, 22 years old and Muth Namchheav, male, 23 years old.

The groom’s side saw Len, male and Kop Tak, male, 31 years old, also suffer minor injuries

According to local officials, the fight was caused by a group of guests of the groom, who clashed with the bride’s guests. The perpetrators attacked each other by throwing glasses at each other, which led to the stabbing.
