Reports Of Morning Fatal Shooting In Sihanoukville

Sihanoukville: Initial reports say a shooting incident occurred on the streets of Sihanoukville at around 8 am this morning. A Chinese man was shot and killed and another Chinese man was seriously injured in the incident which occurred outside a casino.

Witnesses say the dead man was in the back seat of Range Rover. The injured Chinese man was in the front with a Cambodian driver. The driver is not believed to be injured. Updates to follow.

UPDATE: NKD reports “Authorities immediately detained two Cambodians and a Chinese man in connection with the shooting” (doesn’t seem to be true-later reports say 5 had been taken for questioning, but were not suspects).

UPDATE: Chinese media reports suggest shots were fired from another car into the Range Rover. The gunman was driving a black Ford Ranger Raptor with license plate Phnom Penh 2BI-1413. The car was dumped near Damrey 5 Market (FN)
