UPDATE: Local COVID-19 Cases Rise To 14
Phnom Penh: It has been reported that a total of 14 local cases of COVID-19 have been detected, after the wife of the General Director of Prisons was tested positive. Another suspected case in Siem Reap is awaiting the results.
Earlier, the Khmer Times reported that the woman had recently returned from the USA and had flouted quarantine regulations by going shopping at AEON and dining in restaurants. EDIT: The KT later rejected their own story.
The issue is now being referred to as the “November 28 Community Event”

The Ministry of Health have confirmed the latest 8 cases:
1. A 36-year-old Cambodian woman living in Sangkat Toul Tum Poung I, Khan Chamkar Mon, Phnom Penh, whose husband is the Deputy Director of the Prisons Department of the Ministry of Interior.
2. A 24-year-old Cambodian woman living in Sangkat Khmuonh, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh, whose husband works in the Information Technology Department of the Ministry of Interior.
3. A 45-year-old Cambodian woman living in Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh, the aunt of a child detected on 28 November.
4: A 30-year-old Cambodian woman living in Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh, the family of the driver a patient detected on 28 November.
5. A Cambodian woman living in Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh, was in direct contact patients found on 28 November.
6. A Cambodian woman living in Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh, the aunt of a patient detected on 28 November.
7: A 7-year-old Cambodian boy living in Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chbar Ampov, the nephew of a patient detected on 28 November.

The eight new 19 Kovid patients were admitted to the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital.
According to the Ministry of Health, on November 29, 2020, the Ministry tested 3332 affected people (in Phnom Penh and 7 provinces), but the analysis could only process 2248 samples (as of 1:30 am on November 30, 2020). Of these, the results show that there are 14 positive (including 6 people who reported on November 28 and 8 new cases), while 2234 tests were negative. The remaining 1084 will continue to be analyzed.
323 cases have been detected in total, with 301 recoveries and 22 active cases in hospital.
