UPDATE: Cambodia Bans Travelers From 5 Countries

 

PHNOM PENH – The Ministry of Health announced on the early morning of March 14, 2020 that it will ban foreign nationals traveling from Italy, Germany, Spain, France and the United States from entering the country for 30 days.

This will take effect from 17 March onwards. This decision is a measure to prevent the spread of the COVID-19.

UPDATE: Phnom Penh (Fresh News), Mar. 14 – Cambodia‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a letter on 14 March informing Cambodian ambassadors and consuls to suspend visas of foreigners from Italy, Germany, Spain, France, and the United States for 30 days to prevent Covid-19.

The visa suspension will be effective from 17 March 2020.

Visas granted will be canceled and reimbursed, according to the letter signed by Secretary of State Ouch Borith.

EDIT: It is now uncertain whether other travelers from these countries will be barred from entering, or just the nationalities mentioned. More details will be released later.

    1. It’s almost over in China already. All the Chinese who are sick are in the hospitals. Not sure about South Korea.

  1. Cambodia will take neccessary precautions to prevent further spreading of covid19. Cambodia did the right thing.

  2. If you are a citizen of one of these barred countries but you can prove you have been continually living in an unlisted unbarred country, can you now enter Cambodia.
