Kampot Traffic Cop Seriously Injured On Duty (Video)

Kampot: Social media reported that a speeding truck hit a traffic police officer on duty near the new Kampot bridge. The incident occurred on the afternoon of December 27, 2019. 

According to the source, the policeman was seriously injured and taken to a hospital in Vietnam.

UPDATE: He survived, but suffered 9 broken ribs and a broken wrist.

UPDATE 2: The victim was identified as Heng Hak Lai, a 50-year-old raffic police officer from Andong Khmum village. The driver of the truck was identified as Chap Pheakdey, a 40-year-old male from Bati district, Takeo province. The driver was caught trying to run a way and handed over to police.
