Chinese And Khmer Brawl On SHK Construction Site

Sihanoukville: A Chinese man was arrested by the Sihanouk Police after he used a weapon against Khmer construction workers, leaving a man injured.

The incident occurred at about 9 am on December 10, 2019 at a construction site in Village No. 4, Sangkat 04, Sihanoukville.

According to witnesses, residents of the scene said that before the incident. a group of Chinese had been arguing with the Khmer construction workers and a fight broke out. 

The victim, named as Noy, a 35-year-old security guard, was injured on the right side of his face.

Regarding the case for legal action, the Sihanouk Inspectorate of Police confirmed that the people involved could face up to six months to one year in prison, along with some compensation, but the victim may be willing to accept a compensation payment. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
