Sorn Seavmey Wins Gold In Philippines

The Philippines: Cambodian taekwondo heroine Sorn Seavmey, has won a gold medal at the 30th SEA Games in the Philippines.

The 24 year old Cambodian defeated Filipino Alora Kirstie Elaine in the taekwondo women’s over-73kg event.

This is the third gold medal earned by Cambodia at the ongoing SEA Games in the Philippines. The first two gold medals were won in the arnis and petanque events.

Cambodia has so far won 30 medals – three gold, six silver and twenty-one bronze – in Arnis, Petanque, Taekwondo and boxing.

Cambodia will host the 32nd SEA Games in 2023.
