Battambang Loggers Drop Chainsaws And Drugs

Battambang: After reports of logging in the forest, a patrol was sent out to find them.

Logging was reported in the community forest on December 3, 2019, at Point 150 in Ta Kream Commune, Banan District, Battambang Province.

According to the district police chief, this is quite common, and lately a group of drug addicts have gone to fell trees and trade drugs in the area.

He said that when the team went down to investigate, the group had escaped, leaving cut timber, tools and a quantity of drugs behind. Mountain Point 150 also has landmines left behind from the war.

Banan district police chief confirmed that the team is continuing to investigate the case to identify the suspects involved. KBN
