Chinese Camper Convoy Comes To Cambodia

Phnom Penh: A camper van convoy traveling from China arrived in Phnom Penh on the evening of Nov. 26 with a total of 20 vehicles.

The convoy left Kunming, Yunnan Province, China, on Nov. 15, drove through Lao PDR, to Cambodia through the border gate in Stung Treng on the 25th.

The tour passes through Stung Treng, Preah Vihear, Kampong Thom, Phnom Penh, Kandal and Siem Reap before returning to Kunming, Yunnan province. The round trip will take 27 days with a total distance of about 5,720 km. The convoy will be returning to promote Cambodia to Chinese tourists in line with the campaign “Cambodia, Kingdom of Wonder”.

The Cambodia Association of Travel Agents (CATA) and the Asia-Pacific Tourism Association of Cambodia (PATA) also joined the Ministry of Tourism, the Department of Tourism and the local authority came to accompany and welcome the convoy. RASMEI

    More Chineese comeing to cambodia and not even spending money on a hotel, no good for the Cambodian people.
