Water Shortages Affect Prey Nup Residents

Preah Sihanouk province –  Residents of Prey Nup are struggling with a shortage of water and forced to buy water from water sellers to meet their needs.

As of November 24, 2019, due to prolonged drought, people there are gradually experiencing water shortages.

To deal with it, some residents have been forced to buy water from water sellers in order to drink and wash.

Meanwhile, Prey Nup district administration officials said the problem was due to a privately owned water pump. However, the same official claimed that the Prey Nup district administration is looking into the matter and is looking at possible ways to handle the issue. TVFB
