Would-Be Bomb Maker Blows Up In Mondulkiri

Mondulkiri: On November 19, 2019, at 8:30 am, a bomb blast caused a death in Pouhum village, Sen Monorom commune, Ou Reang district, Mondulkiri province.

Authorities say a 33-year-old ethnic Phnong male took a knife to smash a can of ‘cherry bombs’ in order to make fishing bombs. The knife cause a blast, which blew the knife into the victim’s eye.

An autopsy revealed that the victim had actually been killed by the explosion. After the examination, the body was handed over to the family for traditional ceremonies.
