Thousands Of Fish Die In Kampot

Kampot: Thousands of dead fish were found floating in a waterway for unknown reasons.

The incident, which happened in the early afternoon on the 17th and again on November 18, 2019, was near an ice factory in Kompong Trach district, Kampot province.

People living nearby say they believe the dead fish were due to poisoning from something that flowed into the water.

Yeung Vau of the Fisheries Department, said authorities were waiting for the site to be examined by a professional.

On the afternoon of November 18, 2019, Mr. Oun Khan, the Governor of Kampong Trach District, urged officials of the department to conduct a thorough examination to find out why the fish had died. KAMPUCHETHMEY
