Japanese Agree Grant For Environmental Education
Phnom Penh – The Japanese Government has agreed to provide a grant of US $ 191,744 for “Achieving a Sustainable Enrichment through Practical Environmental Education”, according to a press release from the Japanese Embassy in Cambodia.
The grant agreement was signed by His Excellency Masahiro Mikami, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, and Ms. Eva Miyoshi, Director of NGO Nature Center Risen.
According to a press release of the project, Nature Center Risen will develop an environment training system from kindergarten to secondary schools in Cambodia, by editing instruction manuals for teachers, publishing environmental education books and providing support.
It is hoped this will help more Cambodians become aware of environmental issues. SWIFT
