Phasing Out Of Angkor Elephants Begins

Siem Reap: According a notice released, elephants are gradually being taken from Angkor Park in accordance with a directive to ban elephant tours which comes into effect in 2020.

On November 14, 2019, some animals were taken from the park to a community forest in Siem Reap province’s Suth Nikom district, where they can live naturally, but under close care and supervision. TVFB
