Crafty Kep Crab Sellers Caught Selling Underweight

Kep : Local authorities in Kep province have ordered seafood sellers at the crab market to make sure they are properly set up.

The Department of Industry and Handicrafts of Kep, said that the scales of some 80 seafood sellers at the crab market were checked, and 6 were found to be cheating on weights (7.5%).

A spokesman said the team is working with the police to handle those selling underweight measures to buyers and the seller must be responsible for any equipment and make sure it is correct.

The head of the department says that this should not happen again, as it causes damage to the reputation of Kep and to other honest businesses.
