Kampot Fisherman Praised For Releasing Whale Shark

Kampot – A senior member of the National Committee for Maritime Security thanked a fisherman named Mar Bunthoeun, a native of Kampong Thnout village, Kampot, releasing a whale shark.

The endangered species of fish, which is the largest vertebrate non-mammal, was returned to the sea after being caught by the fisherman.

This is a good example for other fishermen to get involved in preserving natural resources and biodiversity in Cambodia.
