High British Bottling Backpacker In Siem Reap Tuk Attack
Siem Reap: A foreigner hit a tuk tuk driver with bottle of wine on the victim’s right cheek and right shoulder, causing bleeding at about 1:50 am, on 1 November, 2019.
The incident occurred in Stung Thmey Village, Sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap City, Siem Reap Province.
Police brought in JARED MARTIN DOWNER, a 30 year old British male staying at the Siem Reap Chilled Backpacker Hotel, Wat Bo Village.
He was under the influence of drugs, authorities said. The victim is reported as being Ou Samnang, 27, a Khmer Tuk Tuk driver from Siem Reap City.
The foreigner was detained by for further questioning and preparing for a case to be sent to the the provincial court. GDI (Also up on POST NEWS)

Do not believe all that is written Jared was taken by the driver down an alley and attacked for refusing to buy drugs by 5 others involved, in self defence and not wanting to be robbed of his money he lashed out at one with the bottle Under no circumstances was he under the influence of crystal meth or would evendream of taking as all thoughs who knows this gentle kind guy will tell you. Police placed an already opened possitive test for the photo. Don’t be naive to judge as you may find yourself a victim of this scam purely to obtain compensation money

I met him on my travels and he was the most gentle placid man you could ever imagine. As soon as I read this I smelt a rat. I knew something was off straight away there is absolutely no way he would have anything to do with meth bot would he attack anybody as anyone that has met him will agree. Very sad news indeed.
I know this JARED and I can say he is the most friendly and gentle man you could ever meet. He would not lash out at anyone unless he felt threatened. I suspect that the victim and authorities are making a show out of this.
