Siem Reap Jealous Beef Brawl

Siem Reap: Violence left a youth injured at around 11.30 pm, October 29, 2019, near Siem Reap town hall.

The victim, Kem Chan Veasna, is a 17-year-old male, staying in a rented room in Siem Reap City.

Before the incident, the victim and his friend sat down to eat BBQ beef from a street stall. Jealousy over a girl reared its ugly head, and verbal abuse followed. The victim was then beaten and knifed, and suffered injuries to his arm.
