Ministry Announces 4 Paid Day Water Festival

The Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training has announced a 4 day holiday for workers to celebrate the Water Festival next month. Workers will get from 10 – 13 November off, according to a notification from the Ministry of Labor signed by him. Ith Sam Heng, Minister of Labor to all company owners or directors of enterprises.

According to the Labor Law, the ministry allows workers to take paid leave for four days: November 10, 11, 12 and 13, as the 10th is a Sunday, it will be carried over. Workers must receive full salary for these days.

The above notice also states that for enterprises and establishments that are unable to stop their activities during this holiday period, employees should be paid overtime, or given an extra holiday in exchange.
