Poipet Cop Detained After Fatal Crash

Poipet: A man died at the scene of a car and motorcycle accident on October 23, 2019, in Poipet city, Banteay Meanchey province.

The deceased was riding a motorcycle and was named as Nam Yi was from Poipet City. The driver of the car, named Prum Sok, 34, is a police officer in Banteay Meanchey province, currently residing in Poipet.

The driver of the Isuzu D-MAX right-hand drive vehicle, BMC 0207, hit the motorbike and attempted to escape, but was soon arrested and immediately detained at Poipet City Inspectorate. 

On October 24, 2019, the deputy inspector general of traffic, said that the force was questioning and building up the case for legal action. AREY NEWS
