512 Prisoners Request Water Festival Amnesties

Phnom Penh: HE Ang Vong Vathana, Minister of Justice, will chair a meeting of the National Commission for the Review of the Application for the Extension of Amnesty and Amnesty to Prisoners during the Royal Water Festival, according to a spokesman of the Ministry of Justice.

The meeting, to be held on the afternoon of October 21, 2019 at the Ministry of Justice, will discuss the request for amnesty requests made by 512 prisoners (58 women) from 23 provincial and municipal prisons and correctional centers. SWIFT NEWS
