Thieving Peruvian Couple Caught In Siem Reap
Siem Reap: On 14 October 2019, at 2 pm, police detained a foreigner couple after the theft of a Chinese woman’s bag.
The suspects were:
1 / MENDEZ TINCO EPIFANIO, 65,
2 / QUISPE ESPINOZA CARMEN LUZ, a 49 year old woman. Both staying at Sakav Hotel, Tapul Village, Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap.
The couple are reported as holding Beirut passports (*which doesn’t make sense, a good chance they are South American). UPDATE: Later reports say they are from Peru.
Before the incident on October 16, 2019 at 11:55 am, in a restaurant in Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap, the suspect had stole a bag from the victim ZHOU LIHUA, a Chinese female.
On 17 October 2019, at 5.30 pm the suspect(s) returned to the same restaurant and were detained by the owner and his staff.
The suspects have been detained and will be sent to the provincial court. POST NEWS
