There have been reports that the Chinese police captured a suspect who committed two murders in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, through face recognition technology.
After the joint work between the Chinese and Cambodian police, the two murders were finally attributed to the same man,
It is reported that the suspect is named Zhang. After a fatal shooting in May the suspect fled back to China. He later returned to Cambodia to continue committing crimes. On August 24, he robbed and shot a man in a Sihanoukville hotel before again fleeing to China.
On October 12th, the Chinese police successfully captured Zhang in China based on face recognition technology.
It is reported that both the Chinese and Cambodian police will question Zhang.
