Iraqi Team Arrives For FIFA Qualifier

Phnom Penh: The Iraqi squad has arrived safely in Cambodia today ahead of next week’s Cambodia 2022 World Cup qualifier and 2023 Asian Championship qualifiers Group C match.

Kick off in the National Stadium is at 6.30 pm on October 15, 2019.

Iraq are currently 2nd in Group C, after beating Hong Kong 2-0 at home and drawing with Bahrain.

Cambodia are languishing at the bottom of the table with just 1 point from 3 games, and are hoping to recover from the 14-0 defeat against Iran earlier this week.

The visitors surprised the world of football when they were crowned AFC champions in 2007, and are currently ranked 65. (Photo Iraqi Football Association)
