Non Plated Vehicles Face Fines And Seizure

PHNOM PENH,The Phnom Penh Municipal Police Department’s official Facebook page posted on October 11, states that from October 21, 2019, police will take measures to detain cars and motorcycles on the road without a license plate. Non-plated vehicles will be fined and held with traffic police until plates are prepared and added.

The announcement comes after vehicles without numbers were used to commit crimes such as burglary or robbery.

The Phnom Penh Municipal Police Commissioner is hopeful that citizens will cooperate with law enforcement. KBN
