Siem Reap Teens Beaten After Street Robbery

Siem Reap: A construction worker and a schoolboy worked together to commit a street snatch, bit were foiled and handed over to the cops on October 09, 2019 in Siem Reap city.

Suspects Heng Phearun, an 18-year-old student, and Kim Leng, a 19 year old, construction worker, are both from Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap city.

The victim, Yi Chantha, a 29-year-old woman living in Siem Reap town, was carrying a bag with 120,000 riels, three Oppo phones and some jewelry.

The suspects rode behind the victim on a black Honda Dream, snatched the bag from the victim, then fled to the road.  The victim began chasing after the motorbike, and shouting for help. 

People manage to tackle the suspects and give them a beating before a police patrol arrived .

The teens confessed to the crime, as well as to another robbery committed in September and a case is being filed for the provincial court. KBN
