Big C Supermarket Opens First Cambodian Store

Poipet: Thai supermarket giant Big C has opened doors for a ‘soft opening’ in the border town of Poipet, according to the company’s Facebook page.

Big C is Thailand’s second-largest hypermarket and stores in  Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and and Cambodia. Big C and its subsidiaries operate over 1300 stores in Thailand alone.

It is reported that the store will create up to 1200 jobs for the town. The project was announced here last November.
