Preah Sihanouk: (Preliminary Information) On the morning of October 6, 2019, police arrested six suspects (*but seven in photo) in connection with a case of human trafficking in Group 12 in Village 3, Sangkat 1, Sihanoukville.
All six are reported to be Chinese males. Updates to follow.
UPDATE: Latest reports say 10 people were found shackled and tortured.
Update: According to later reports, 10 people were rescued after being found in confinement. ” Preah Sihanouk Provincial Gendarmerie liberated more than 10 victims of kidnapping and illegally detaining and deporting”
At least one was seriously injured and taken to hospital.
