Japanese Murderers Given Total Of 23 Years

Siem Reap: Two Japanese men were found guilty of the murder of a Siem Reap taxi driver.

A Siem Reap provincial court spokesman, announced on October 3 that
Ryuji Nakakuki had been given a jail sentence of 13 years in prison while
Reimon Ishida was sentenced to 10 years.

The pair, both aged 24, were ordered to pay the wife of taxi driver Him Chan 100 million riel ($25,000).

The family are said to be considering an appeal to increase the sentence and compensation amount.
