American Man Dies in Kampot

Kampot: A foreigner died in a rented room caused shock at 7:10 am on September 30, 2019 in the village Sovan Sakor, Sangkat Kampong Kandal, Kampot City.

An examination by police concluded American Robert Cox, aged 38, had died of a heart attack.

Friends of Robert contacted CNE yesterday morning and said he died after complaining of feeling unwell, and asked for the news to be held until family had been contacted.

They also said that Robert was ex-military, an accomplished author and short film director, and well known and liked in the Kampot community. His death has come as a shock to those who knew him.
