Timber Transporters Seized in Battambang

Battambang – On Friday, September 27, 2019, the Joint Commission of the National Committee for the Prevention and Control of Natural Resource Offenses arrived in Samlot District to destroy a total of 10 trucks.

The vehicles have been used for transporting timber for the Sambath companyin the Phnom Samkos Conservation Area in Samlot District, Battambang Province.

The illegal timber from the Samkosos Conservation Area had traveled through the village of Or Kroch, Touk Kok commune, and many families are waiting to testify to a joint committee of the National Committee for the Prevention and Suppression of Natural Resources Crime to take action against the company.
