Apsara Authority Divert Kulen Rain to West Baray

Siem Reap: On September 25, according to a Facebook post by the Apsara Authority, The Working Group of the Water Management Department, is busy diverting heavy rainfall from Kulen Mountain into the West Baray .

The Apsara Authority’s water management expert explained that rainfall is currently flowing heavily from Kulen mountain to Angkor and Siem Reap resorts. If the flow of water is not redirected into the West Baray, there may be more floods in Siem Reap and possibly affect some temples.

Besides adding water to the West Baray, the water management team also stored water in the Northern Baray, with work starting on September 23 and continuing through to the 25th.
