China: Two Cambodian chefs have won silver and bronze medals in the ASEAN-cooking competition in Nanning, China.
The event was held from 19-21 September 2019, with participants from Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The cook-off comprised of three disciplines: Asian cuisine, European cuisine and processed food.
As a result, at the 2019 ASEAN-China Cooking Competition, two Cambodian contestants won two European Cuisine Medals. Ngai Sok Heng took silver and bronze medal went to Lam Rithy.
Winning the medal is a true testament to the cooking skills of Cambodian students and chefs in promoting Food Quality and Service in Support of Food Development (Gastronomy) for Tourism in Cambodia.
